We have been getting creative in the Nursery this week and using our cutting, sticking and printing skills. The children have been making dinosaur footprints for our display. We talked about how to make beautiful and effective patterns.
First we put glue on the footprint, then we took pieces of tissue paper and carefully stuck them down one at a time. Next we used Duplo and potato mashers to print patterns on top of the tissue paper. This kind of activity develops the children’s ability to follow instructions and to think carefully about what they’re doing. The children loved the patterns that were created.
