At St Michael’s we are small church school where we value caring for each other. As it is a split site school, we make every effort for younger children to learn from older children and develop relationships with children who are good role models. Therefore we have a buddy system in our school where Reception children have a Year 6 buddy for a year.
On Wednesday we held our Buddy service in St Michael’s church which was attended by the school community and parents of our Reception children.
As a token of welcome, the Year 6 children presented their buddy with a story book to keep. Please see some images from Buddy time held this term.
Sometimes, Buddy time is an afternoon tea made by Reception.
We are looking forward to an amazing year and formed friendships with the buddies.
