In art, year 1 have been learning to enhance their 3D skills by exploring sculpture using salt dough. We took inspiration from the famous artist Mark Quinn.
Marc Quinn is a British artist, who was born in London in 1964. His sculptures, paintings and drawings explore the link between art and science.
In 1994, he made lots of sculptures of his hands using bread dough. Year 1 decided to use this idea of sculpture and had an amazing time creating versions of their own hands, and what fantastic little artists they are!
