It has been all go in Reception this half term and what a fantastic first half term it has been. We could not be any prouder than we are already!
We started the term learning some rules about how to look after ourselves, each other and our school. The children came up with some lovely, caring and sensible ideas for our Golden Rules.
We all then made a finger-print promise to always ‘Be Kind’, ‘Be Safe’, and ‘Have a Go’!
And look at all the ways we have been following our Golden Rules!…
And how about all these amazing efforts of ‘Having a Go’ at practicing our learning…
And the fun just kept coming!
We have decorated biscuits for our 150th Birthday…
We have used our senses to touch, smell, feel and taste fruits and vegetables, and we even made our own fruit salad!
We have celebrated some amazing learning happening in school and at home, so well done to the children who went to see Ms Gillespie and received a Head Teachers Award!
Here is a little bit about their amazing work.
As a class we drew our very first story map using instructions on how to make fruit salad…
Well done to Samuel who then went off and had a go at drawing his own story map of instructions.
And a big well done to Khari and Rasi who have been working hard at home and in school.
Writing his very own story at home using his sounds! Practising writing his numbers!
So, as you can see Reception have been real-life busy bees and what amazing busy bees they have been. They really have achieved so much already and are continuing to fly and flourish!
Well done Reception for working so hard this half term! We are SO proud of you!
