This half term, the children have been exploring our value of Joy and thinking about ways they can spread joy by being kind to themselves and to others.
We explored being bucket fillers. We all carry an invisible bucket that contains our feelings. When our bucket is full, we feel great. When our bucket is empty, we feel sad. A bucket filler is someone who says or does nice things for other people. By doing this, they are filling other people’s buckets and filling their own bucket at the same time.
Being kind is something we value highly at St Michael’s. The children created kindness rocks and the process was shared in an earlier blog.
These rocks are now on display outside the Ray Wickes block, alongside a sign which is asking those who see it to keep on spreading kindness.
Please take a walk past our wall of kindness and let the inspirational messages from the children of St Michael’s brighten your day and fill your bucket.
Please keep passing the kindness on – help fill someone’s bucket.
