The story of The Enormous Turnip has provided lots of fun learning this week for the reception children at home and at school to develop their language skills with endless repetition and opportunities for joining in.
From this story, the children have learned about people and families and have even learned some new pet vocabulary; they have been talking about food and growing things.
The children had fun retelling the story along with actions… look at them roll after they finally got the turnip out of the ground! Well done reception.
