Democracy Rules

On Thursday 24th October, St Michael’s held their annual election for pupil committee members. This year there were two positions per class available for Faith Committee, and one for the Pupil Ambassador and Safeguarding Committees.

Year 6 Headies were ready and waiting to explain the voting process once each class arrived at the polling station, just one of their many duties around St Michael’s!

Then the children went about the business at hand, choosing who they would like to represent them in the committees, placing their mark next to that name, then posting their ballot paper into the ballot box!

And the results are in…

A big well done as always to all the candidates for taking the time to write and share their manifestoes with their classes.

The committees are:

Faith Committee

Safeguarding Committee

Pupil Ambassador

Playleaders

We also have our newly trained Play leaders. Thank you to Graham Curtis from D & G Sports for leading the session on playground games and encouraging play at playtime for all.
