Funky Fingers!

As part of the children’s Physical Development, they have been engaging in a variety of activities to support their fine motor skills and develop the muscles in their little fingers! This will help them do things like eating, getting dressed, manipulating objects and writing. The development of their fine motor control and precision helps with hand-eye co-ordination which is later linked to early literacy.

The children have been using a range of tools and techniques when using the play-dough. They have manipulated the play-dough to make patterns, faces and emotions, and to make their own Colour Monster!

Loose parts play has allowed the children to explore different items in so many different ways, and it is amazing for developing hand-eye co-ordination. No day is ever the same when it comes to loose parts play!

The children have begun to explore writing through the marks they make!

And now look at them go!!..
