The Tremendous (Year) Two Class

Year 2 has had an amazing start to the year and we wanted to share some of the great things we have done so far! Come along with us to see some of the stories we have published (we bet you have never heard of the PS5 that spoke before now), the acting we have done, our visit from Christopher Columbus and our forgiveness jar!

At the start of this term, we started reading a story in our English lessons called The Papaya That Spoke. We loved it so much we decided to write our own versions! All of a sudden we had talking footballs, chicken nuggets and gorillas flying around the classroom.

If you were looking for budding stars, we are certain you would find them here in our class. We witnessed their talent first-hand when they performed the story of the prodigal son in one of our riveting RE lessons! We even saw some fantastic acting from Christopher Columbus (courtesy of the fabulous Miss Vander- despite the children asking why he was wearing Nike trainers if he was truly from the 15th century). If you want to find out anything about Christopher Columbus be sure to ask us here in year 2. We would love to share what we wrote about him in our biographies!

Lastly, we wanted to share our class forgiveness jar. The topic of forgiveness was the main focus for one of our RE lessons and we had some questions: ‘Why is forgiveness important?’ ‘How can we forgive?’ During our lesson we were able to come up with some really good answers! We wrote down how we can forgive and why it is important and put our hearts into our forgiveness jar. Now, whenever we feel like we need to forgive, we can just reach into our jar and find endless reasons to do so!

We hope you enjoyed some of the special things we did this term and we hope you keep on watching out for the tremendous feats we are going to accomplish throughout the rest of the year!

Signed: The Tremendous Twos
