Sun’s out – surfs up!

Although thee was some evening andf overnight rain, the children awoke to glorious sunshine on their first full day in Devon. The plan for the day is full of experiences.

The first order of the day was breakfast and a little pre breakfast play session.

Children had to prepare their lunches for the day ahead.

The children are continuimg the day with exercise.

Then a session with a professional surfer learning how to use the board

Now to get ready to put our training to the test.

Away we go….

Get ready…jump!

The day at the beach continues with fun, surfing and laughter – and of course lunch.

The children have been surfing with trainers and the professional surfer, learning to catch a wave, get up on their knees and try to stand. Some children had achieved that before lunch – nearly all the children have achieved that since lunch. However, standing or not – you can’t deny that the children are having a great time.

Back at the house it’s time to clean out the wetsuits after surfing. Then back to playing before pizza making later.

Pizza making is a great thing to do, especially after a full day at the beach and all that physical activity.

Later, the children all received a goody bag from Finisterre, the professional surfing organisation, working alongside City Kids Surfing.
