Lest we forget

The Autumn Year 6 project was World War I, linked to our class text of Private Peaceful. The children were challenged to write reports, create artwork, make models and find out information about this period in history.

The children did an amazing job, and had the following things to say about undertaking the task.

I enjoyed researching and learning new information and also choosing the design for my pages, I used PowerPoint.

As I had expired chocolate from my Grandma’s house, I got creative and used them as supply chests for my trench model.

I enjoyed making poppies and writing my poem about WWI. I also enjoyed researching about an Indian elephant who helped during the war.

What I really enjoyed about making my project was that I had time to finally be creative and use my mind to create something extraordinary.

Well done Year 6 for completing these awesome projects.
