This term, Year 2 learnt about the artist Marc Quinn. Marc Quinn is a British artist, who was born in London in 1964. His sculptures, paintings and drawings explore the link between art and science. He often uses unusual materials in his sculptures, such as ice and bread. In 1994, Marc Quinn made lots of sculptures of his hands and Year 2 used bread to do the same.
First, we had to make the dough.
Then we had to use the bread dough to carefully sculpt our hands.
Finally, we baked them all in the oven and we were so proud of our very own hand sculptures!
