It has been a busy week at St Michael’s, so we thought of some Easter fun to end it all.
The children were given the chance to enter the Easter picture competition. The original idea was to create an Easter design in chalk on the school playground. The winning design would receive a yummy Easter Egg donated by our lovely Year 1 teacher, Ms Aaron-Lewis. However, the rain hampered those plans so we had to adapt quickly.
Instead, the children created designs in the classroom – no less fun was had!
Ms Gillespie and Ms Asante, with the help of a few other staff, were tasked with selecting the winning picture for each class! What a difficult job it was! The objective was to look for originality and the use of space provided. It was so difficult to choose, we had to extend to the top three per class. Here come the mini chocolate chip muffins as runner up prizes!

A big well done to all of the entrants – we definitely have some budding artists as well as some children with very original ideas.
