The Early Learning Goals (ELGs) are the goals or targets for children to achieve at the end of their reception year. They will be working towards these goals throughout the year. For Numbers, one of the goals is for all children to count reliably with numbers from one to 20, place them in order and say which number is one more or one less than a given number.
So this week in maths our lovely reception children have been exercising their fingers and using their hands to count and recognise numbers up to 10.
They are working very hard at counting everything accurately! Well done Reception, and keep up the counting!
