Reception received a special delivery from the Little Red Hen! First she sent us some bread, butter and jam asking for our help in making some jam sandwiches; after all, her friends Cat, Dog, Pig and Cow weren’t very helpful. So of course the Reception children were only happy to help!

And for their hard work and help, they even got to try some for themselves… and I think it was safe to say they enjoyed them too!
And then the Little Red Hen’s eggs came!…
The children were so excited to be looking after Little Red Hen’s eggs until they were big enough to go back to the farm! The children have done extremely well learning and understanding the life cycle of a hen and how to care for living things.
