The temperamental weather has fascinated the children, one minute there are torrential downpours and the next minute the sun is breaking through the clouds. This has inspired lots of discussions about where the rain comes from and where the sun goes when it’s cloudy. The children often try to spot rainbows in the sky and excitedly point at the sky ‘look there’s one’.
Our learning is inspired by the interests that the children show so we have used the theme of rainbows to explore colour sorting, colour mixing, art & crafts and even making rainbow toast. This week has been Anti–Bullying week and we have been reading The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister which is about a fish who learns how to be kind to his friends.
