This week saw the return of Sports Day. For the first time in two years, we were delighted to welcome parents and carers back to witness the fun in the sun over at the sports fields on Worsley Bridge Road. Years 1 to 6 wowed us with their sporting skills and tremendous teamwork.
A carousel of activities including the traditional egg and spoon race, sack race and the very popular tug of war proved to be favourites, we commend the children for their sheer determination and resilience to get back up when things did not go as expected!
The day continued with the races; the children showed us we may have the next Usain Bolt or Mo Farrah in training – right here at St. Michael’s! Of course the mums and dads race was a highlight of our morning and we commend those of you who got involved.
Thank you to all our parents, carers, family members and friends who joined in the fun, cheering and encouragement of the children – we appreciate you all. Take a look at the highlights video below to celebrate a fantastic day full of sporting achievements. Well done St. Michael’s you are all sporting superstars!
