World Book Day arrived at St Michael’s and the theme this year was, ‘I am a reader.’ World Book Day is an opportunity for the children to dress up as their favourite character from a book and share that book with others.
The children came ready for a day of fun, learning and most importantly – reading. We were even lucky enough to see Maleficent who was busy dropping children off on the school run.
The day started with a special virtual assembly.
The children enjoyed a day filled with special activities that they could do together as a class.
This year is the 25th anniversary of World Book Day, so the children also enjoyed a World Book Day disco in the afternoon, it was amazing to see Paddington Bear and Harry Potter celebrating with a few princesses!
