On Tuesday for Safer Internet Day, we focused on this year’s theme, ‘All fun and games? Exploring respect and relationships online’.
During collective worship and follow up sessions in class, the children had the opportunity to talk about how they use the internet respectfully and responsibly. The aim of our sessions together was for the children to know what respectful online behaviour looks like and what to do if they saw unkind words or bullying online.
This supports our on going focus for Children’s Mental Health Week.
We explored the many uses of the internet and how, when used appropriately, it can make aspects of our lives much easier. Many people use the internet for work, school and fun.
Over the course of the week, children will be completing an E-Safety questionnaire – it helps us to focus on any areas of concern the children may raise.
Have a look at what the children will complete in school.
The results of the class surveys will be shared shortly.
We have concluded that respect is respect everywhere we go – whether online or face to face. We will continue to support these messages at school.
